On July 10, 2025, at Bramer’s Brazilian Cuisine, the Rotary Club of Boca Raton West proudly celebrated the installation of its new President and Board of Directors for the 2025-2026 Rotary year.
The event was attended by representatives of partner clubs, including Maria Fernanda Cruz, President of the Rotary Club of Wellington, and Nick Basiaga, Director of the Rotary Club of Delray Beach. Special guests and prospective members were also present, some of whom are expected to be officially sworn in later this month, significantly increasing the club’s membership base.
During the ceremony, the chairs of the Boynton Beach Sunshine and Central Connections Satellite Clubs, which are part of RC Boca Raton West’s structure, were also sworn in. These satellites help expand and strengthen the Rotary mission, bringing together members from diverse locations, including Canada, Brazil, Chicago, Orlando, and other regions.
Both the core club and its satellites hold hybrid meetings, promoting member engagement from a distance while remaining fully aligned with the goals of RC Boca Raton West — the first Portuguese-language Rotary club in the United States.
On this occasion, an active agenda full of social initiatives for 2025-2026 was presented, with planned partnerships with local and international clubs. In her speech, President Elizabeth Alderete called members to action:
“This will be the year we show that we are united for good. We will be active in helping our community. Get ready for a lot of action!”
